Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

  • a) a citizen of India, or
  • b) a subject of Nepal, or
  • c) a subject of Bhutan, or
  • d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Application Process

Instruction Details
How to Apply (a) Applications must be submitted online at SSC's official website.
(b) Ensure to upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed formats.
Photo Requirements (a) Photograph: JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB); dimensions about 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
(b) Signature: JPEG format (10 to 20 KB); dimensions about 4.0 cm x 2.0 cm.
Deadline The final date for online application submission is 17.08.2024 (2300 hours). Submit applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
